I am the girl who dances in my kitchen to Christmas music starting December 1st. I like seeing gifts wrapped under my tree for weeks before Christmas, and I hawk-eye pretty gift bags everywhere I go just thinking of reasons why I need to purchase them. The funny thing is that it wasn’t until two days ago that I finally felt like Christmas was here. Perhaps it was the arrival of my brother and his wife from Greece or the eggnog that has been passed around at family gatherings over the weekend, but the holidays are officially here and my heart knows it.

Santa lives! He can give you happiness, in fact, you already have access to it, you just have to open it and choose it.
I don’t have kids, so I’m not waiting at the chimney with baited breath for Santa Claus, but I do believe that the holidays are magical and have the potential to be transformational. I’m not sure what you put on your Christmas Wish List this year, but I am adding something to it: happiness.
Happiness is a choice, not a destination. I know that it is a gift that Santa will in fact bring you this year, because it is a gift that is available to everyone. Happiness starts from within and it is maintainable because it’s not a product of circumstances, it’s a choice of the soul. Decide to be the happiest person you know and go spread some holiday cheer.
