I love the gym in January. Resolution setters bombard the machines and classes with enthusiasm and commitment, and for just a few weeks, the world cares just a little bit more about fitness. The sad truth is that most fitness resolutions don’t last more than six weeks, with the majority of eager exercises – a good 85% – giving up on themselves before they really get started enough to see results. The only difference between the 15% of goal-setters who make it and the 85% that give up is that the 15% actually believe that they are going to change. They know that they are not a tree, destined to be how and where they currently are in their fitness; they know that with a lot of hard work, daily consistent effort and awareness, and positivity, they will make the changes that they want to make.
You are not a tree. You are not stuck. Whatever things you want to change in your life or about your body right now can be changed, that is if you are willing to be bold and courageous in the way you live and in your self-belief. If you’re not happy where you are in life, then change it and start today.
