I love words. They are beautiful, unique, rich, deep and entirely up to our own choosing and creativity. We create intangible canvases of beauty with the words we weave and these paintings can transform both us and the world around us. While we are what we do and not what we say, what we say to ourselves does directly influence what and how we do what we do.
Rudyard Kipling knew and saw this drug-like power that lies in words, and I love how he expresses it in the above quotation. We can use words not only to build others up, but to build up ourselves as well. When we think about ourselves, our passions, and our purposes, we must choose self-identifying words wisely. Our body and our actions hear what our mind thinks, so be careful with the words you allow to dwell in your mind.
Drug yourself with positive words and watch your self-confidence soar.
