“There comes a special moment in everyone’s life, a moment for which that person was born. That special opportunity, when he seizes it, will fulfill his mission — as mission for which he is uniquely qualified. In that moment he finds greatness. It is his finest hour…” – Sir Winston Churchill
There is a deep throbbing that has fired from within the depths of me since my earliest memory as a child. This unquenchable fire has motivated me my whole life, sparking a profound belief that my life is destined for greatness. It started with dreams of Olympic gold, and progressed into a more mature understanding of my personality, abilities, and dreams. It is what inspires my enthusiasm for life, and my belief that this “specialness” is not reserved for just me, but rather is what binds us together in the human race. Sir Winston Churchill couldn’t be more right on with my heart when he said that every man is destined for a mission, for a purpose, and for greatness for which he is “uniquely qualified.”
A life lived with enthusiasm is a life well lived. Enthusiasm is priceless; it is a gift. It is something we can all embrace. Henry Ford once said that “enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes sine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.”
Pride yourself for standing up for what you believe in, for loving those who don’t reciprocate, and for living with unmatched enthusiasm in a world that is more comfortable with numbness. I admittedly am easily pleased and easily amused by the simple pleasures of life, but without enthusiasm I would just be numb and unappreciative of my blessings. Enthusiasm is one of the most contagious, most inspirational, and most authentic qualities a person can posses — let your enthusiasm shine. The world needs your brightness and your unique destiny to be fulfilled. Your finest hour is just on the horizon.
