Believe you can and you’re halfway there. -Theodore Roosevelt
In honor of Teddy’s victory at this week’s Washington National’s President’s Race, I feel it a great day to honor his legacy by sharing my favorite Theodore Roosevelt quotations. If you’re not a Major League Baseball or D.C. fan, all you need to know is that over a span of 526 attempts, this is President Roosevelt’s first win, and one to be celebrated. In the words of Teddy himself, remember that wherever you are in life or in your goals right now “believe you can and you’re halfway there.”
Below are my favorite Teddy quotes (in order starting with which one’s inspire me the most); may we all leave words behind us that inspire generations to come!
“Comparison is the thief of joy.”
“Far and away the best prize life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.”
“Do what you can with what you have where you are.”
“Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”
“It is hard to fail but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.”
“The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything.”
“I am a part of everything that I have read.”
