A warrior feeds his body well; he trains it; works on it. Where he lacks knowledge, he studies. But above all he must believe. He must believe in his strength of will, of purpose, of heart and soul. -David Gemmell
I don’t take yoga or Pitaiyo as often as I should, but when I do attend a class, one of my favorite poses to practice is the Warrior Pose sequence. Aside from the incredible physcial benefits that the poses provide, there is just something cool to thinking about warriors.
David Gemmell’s above quotation embodies everything that I think about when I think about warriors, and I love it. I believe that, in our own sense, we are all warriors in life. We fight through the negative experiences in triumph and we train ourselves to become better versions of ourselves in order to prepare for our next battle in life that will threaten to steal our joy away. Life warriors are those who fight to remain grateful and joyful about life, no matter what life throws their way.
Prepare yourself as a warrior would, and I promise, you won’t be disappointed in the results.
