Regardless of how distant your dreams, every second towards them counts. – Dean Karnazes
I love knowing that every second of my life matters. Mundane routines can bear holes into the life joy of our souls and slowly but surely, the commonplace elements of our ordinary lives leaves us feeling just that: ordinary. Feeling ordinary is one of the most treacherously destructive emotions to the development of the unique self. We are extraordinarily different from one another and we all have a great purpose if only we allow ourselves to pursue it.
I like Karnazes’ vision; he believes that every second of our life matters. It’s time we stop getting distracted by the world of ordinary around us and realize that we are on a path of extraordinary measures. Keep your eyes locked ahead looking down the tunnel, keep your heart vulnerably zealous towards your passions, and, no matter what, remember that you are anything but ordinary.
Uta Hagen says it best here: Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraodinary. Your best chance at being extraordinary is found in simply being yourself.
