Christmas is a time when dreaming is acceptable, when answered prayers are magical, and when wishes of anticipation sparkle in the eyes of every young person. I love Christmas and the holidays because they capture the joyfulness and solidarity of the human spirit that should and could exist all the time if only we each realized our incredible potential and capacity for love.
Benjamin Disraeli’s words, that “life is too short to be small,” are boldly honest and capture exactly how I feel about Christmas. Life is too short to be small, to think small, to love small, to dream small or to celebrate small.
Let this holiday season remind you of the greatness of community, of love, and of celebration. Take your holiday highs and multiply them into yearlong living. Life is too short to to be small in anything, so choose today to think big, love big, act big, and dream big.
