One of the best birthday gifts I received yesterday was on a post-it note that decorated the outside of a gift bag. The post-it note read as follows: To: My second favorite boss.
Offended, and yet curious, I inquired as to why I was in second place, to which my trainer Amanda promptly replied with, “well, because I’m my favorite boss, of course!”

What a brilliant message. So simple. So crisp. So profound. It is a message that we should all embody in every sense that we can, because it is when we know that what we think and feel about ourselves is what really matters, then we will be free to live however we please.
