How to Stop Caring About What People Think
Confidence is a skill. It is trainable, teachable and learnable at any age. There is a common misconception that confidence is a personality trait, but it isn’t at all. It is a human quality. It is accessible within each and every one of us. Unfortunately, most people don’t know how to look for it within themselves or have learned to look outside of themselves (to their achievements, social status or wealth) to define their confidence.
Like strength training, the more your work your confidence muscle, the more naturally confident you will be. In my work as a confidence coach I have learned that confidence strengthening is something that must be done daily. In the same way that choosing your attitude daily will determine the altitude of your life, choosing confident thoughts over fearful, self-limiting thoughts is a practice.
Ultimately, a life well-lived is one that is grounded in confident thinking, courageous action and a clear focus to contribute to the world. Everyone needs confidence, and the more you activate it within yourself, the higher you will go in and with your life. At each new level of heightened living (often expressed through the pursuing of your purpose or living with freedom and joy in the day-to-day), new levels of confidence management become necessary. We are therefore never at a place that we outgrow the need for confidence coaching.
Below is a quick compilation of a few of my most helpful confidence posts to help accelerate your journey to activated confidence.
