SNAIL OR ESCARGOT – WHICH ARE YOU?

By TrishBlackwell on October 13, 2011 in Blog, Meaning, Movement

A pessimist is one who feels bad when he feels good for fear he’ll feel worse when he feels better. – Unknown

I love this escargot image, not only because I appreciate the delicacy of escargot, but also because it’s a pleasant reminder to me of the power of the present.   In reflection, I must ask myself if I live in the moment, or if I live in fear of a fate that I perceive might happen to me.

Negativity and pessimism are toxic to our existence.  Some people disguise pessimism by calling it realism, and some claim to be negative by nature, but the bottom line is that pessimism of any type dictates a life of impending fear.

How do you want to live, free or bound by fear?  Even if it’s your natural tendency to be negative, you can retrain your thoughts and your outlook, that is, only if you want to.  Imagine the life of limitless possibilities that you can live once you ban the presence of fear and self-doubt from your life.
