SKIP RUNNING.

By TrishBlackwell on February 5, 2012 in Blog, Meaning, Movement

I love crowded grocery stores.  They are brimming with uncontrolled children, parents just trying to get a chore done, and college students filling their carts with cheap food and cases of beer.   Mostly what I love in this chaos is seeing when kids break free from their parents, and make an effort to run. Since running is an impossibility due to the crowded isles, skipping becomes the number one choice.

Skipping is running upwards instead of outwards. I love skipping because of its’ false pretension of contained joy; it is not contained, but rather loud and freeing.

I dare you to skip this week.  I dare you to be so free in your happiness that when the moment hits you bound in the freedom of not caring what others think of you.  Run upwards and skip like no one is watching.
