SCAREDY CAT SYNDROME.

By TrishBlackwell on January 3, 2013 in Blog, Meaning

I do a lot of things that scare me, and while they might not be blatantly obvious or even typical, I battle my scaredy cat syndrome every single day.  My desire to be bold, courageous and to make a difference so outweighs my fears that it drives me to make small decisions every day to beat fear.  I battle fear every day on a small scale so that I’ll be ready for the big scale stuff when it comes my way.  This fear comes in all sorts of packages, inconspicuous ones even: posting a blog post, contacting someone that doesn’t know me, having the courage to pursue and talk about my dreams…

…and being scared feels good.  It makes me feel alive, makes my heart thump and reminds me that life is full of excitement and unpredictability. Fighting fear is like training a muscle, the more you do it, the stronger you get.

Do something that scares you today, be it something small or something big. Just do it and let your heart thump away.
