Most of life is routine – dull and grubby, but routine is the momentum that keeps a man going. If you wait for inspiration you’ll be standing on the corner after the parade is a mile down the street. -Ben Nicholas
Do you ever wonder why some people can latch on to momentum, propelling them to success, and others of us stand scared at the corners of life waiting for inspiration and courage to take over us? What camp do you fall into and if you are in the camp missing the parade, what are you going to do to change right now? The reality is that we are the ones who decide which group we fall into; stop blaming your inaction in life on your circumstances and start living.
We can do anything in this life that we put our minds and our imaginations to. As Albert Einstein said, “logic will get you from A to Z, imagination will get you everywhere.” Never forget that every day is an opportunity to change the way you live, and more importantly, the way you think. Embrace the routine in your life, for it is in routine and the small daily decisions that we make, that we are able to keep our momentum and balance. As Einstein also said in the above quotation, “life is like riding a bicycle, in order to keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
Keep moving. Yes, make sure you are moving in the right direction, but most importantly keep moving. If you are waiting for inspiration or “the right time” to strike, then you will be forever walking your bike, and let me tell you, riding a bike is way more fun.
