I want you to get rough this weekend. I am feeling rough right now from my six hours of surfing. My eyes are salt infused and blood shot, my ribs are bruised and my arms are tired from paddling. I am happy.
I mean it. Getting rough is a way to getting to the core of who you are. It strips you of all of the pretense, the worry, the stress of impressing others. For me, being out in the water is freedom. I forget everything.
I want you to forget everything too. This weekend I want you to strip your worries and stop spending any energy thinking about what anyone else thinks of you.
Reflection of the Weekend:
What is it that you need to do to let yourself finally loose and free? Often, there are things or activities in our mundane lives that we miss out on and it turns out that they are things we need. When is the last time that you watched the clouds? I mean it. Go cloud watching this weekend. See how it refreshes your soul and lets you get raw with your dreams and imagination.
Challenge of the Weekend:
Do 150 burpees.
Yes, you read that right. As I am pounding away on my surfboard, I want you to pound away at burpees. Split them up however you want, in one day or over the weekend. Just do them. That’s what matters, and oh, yeah, I mean the burpees with the push ups.
