Life throws curve balls at us that don’t make sense. Some make us sway and some throw us off balance, completely stunning us in paralysis. These are things that we can’t make sense of, nor are we meant to.
The only way to react when the curve ball comes is to turn to others. If you are the one knocked off your feet, let others love on you and help you up. If you are the one helping a friend up, remember that just being there is the most loving thing you can do. Remember the power of a hug, a listening ear, and an empathetic heart. There are circumstances and pain in life that cannot be explained, don’t waste your time trying to. If you feel pain, cry. Grieve. Be angry. Let every emotion run through your body without abandon. If you feel lost, keep your eyes looking ahead. Trust that you will find your way.
Tragedy that hits a community is more than devastating, it is debilitating. Remember though the power of community, that grieving should be shared, and that people plus people equals love. Even though curve balls can drastically change the paths of our lives and hearts, love will always pull us through the darkness.
God bless. Spread hugs and love to one another, and Rest In Peace Spencer.
