My eyelids are a little heavy this morning. Perhaps it is because it is raining, perhaps because it’s a Monday morning, whatever the reason, I have granted myself 45 minutes to shake off the sleepiness and to put on a day of energy and enthusiasm.
If you are in desperate need of Monday morning inspiration the way I am, stop looking for it and create it for yourself. Give yourself a few minutes to be mellow, tired, and grumpy, and then, snap out of it. Mondays don’t have to be any lesser of a day than a weekend day, but it’s all a matter of how you look at it.
We say we waste time, but that is impossible, we waste ourselves. Don’t waste your Monday. Do something you love today and be grateful for the opportunities and people that lie in your pathway today. I challenge you to do at least five things you love today, plan them out in your mind right now and start looking forward to the rest of your day! I know I will — I have a swim, a massage, coffee with a friend, motivating meetings with my staff, and packing for France to look forward to today. How are you going to inspire yourself this Monday?
