The brain lies to you sometimes. Actually, a lot of the times and I think it’s not that we are actually lying to ourselves but rather we are conditioned to the patterns of autopiloted thinking.
In some capacity we all live on autopilot, allowing our brains to navigate our behaviors, focus and productivity. Some behavior, the behavior that sometimes derails us, can be consciously overruled if we are aware enough to recognize the patterns of autopilot. We condition ourselves to believe certain things about ourselves and the world around us, and as a result we all need to check in ourselves.
This week I want you to shake it up. I’m inviting you to join me in doing the same thing. I noticed recently that I’ve had some autopilot tendencies to my interactions with people, and to be quite frank, I hated it. People deserve best me that I can give. They deserve my authentic me, not my autopilot me. The best thing to do when you take notice of a thought-pattern, habit or lack of habit that you don’t like is to take action. Take action immediately: do something drastic to take yourself off of autopilot.
Tell me what autopilot thing you are shaking up this week by tomorrow so that I can keep you accountable to it! Let living be a VERB and not a state of survival for you. Turn off that autopilot with me this week and let’s make some magic happen!
