First off, Happy Memorial Day! May today be a day of remembrance for you as you enjoy quality time with your loved ones near and far.
I’m scurrying around this week in preparation for my adventure to Bora Bora this Friday. Much of what I am doing is last minute wedding prep details, and some birthday things for Brandon as he turns 33 this Thursday, but most of what I am doing has to do with preparing for a major unplug from the world. I found out that “wifi” in Bora Bora costs $40/day, which I’m open to, but internet reviews are stacking up descriptions of an old-school, dial-up style of internet access, which is motivation enough for me to stay unplugged. That being said, you all won’t miss out on a beat from me. I’m preparing this week’s and next week’s content for you now, as I’m determined to always provide you with as much motivation and inspiration as possible. You can rest assured that I will have tons of time on Friday as I travel to connect with you, as our travel day is going to be about 22 hours long and includes a lay-over in Los Angeles as well as Tahiti. Furthermore, I have always found that my greatest moments of growth come from when I travel. I am never without a journal and camera in hand to capture every thought, every view and every revelation along the way.
Therefore, as I’m unplugging from the world, I challenge you to do the same. Next week’s podcast will provide even more insight and advice on ways to do so, but since you all are in the know, you can start early. Take two days off from social media. Completely. Oh, and you don’t need to warn everyone. The social media world will be okay without you. Maybe social media isn’t your thing, maybe it’s TV. If so, turn it off. Disconnect for a few days.
Lastly, this week, I want you to think about the next adventure you are going to take. Adventure itself is an important part of our emotional health and wealth, and it doesn’t always have to cost much financially. Take a minute this week to assess the amount of adventure that you have in your life currently. Do you have enough, or too much? Can you remember the last adventure you had and how it made you feel? I am convinced that adventure is an integral part of our soul’s needs, so make sure that you are feeding it. Your adventure could be a big as a trip to Bora Bora or as “small” as a hike through some local woods, whatever it is, just make sure you have some in your life or are planning for some in the very near future.
Yours in unplugged adventure this week,
Trish
PS: Did you do your weekend challenges? Please don’t forget that much of the success and value that you will get from being a part of my INSIDER group comes with making sure that you connect with me and let me know how you do on your challenges. Make sure to email me at the end of the weekend with how your weekend challenges went and also include how I can best support and encourage you in the upcoming week.
