LIFE ART

By TrishBlackwell on March 27, 2011 in Blog, Meaning, Movement

We are all artists creating every single second of our lives whether it be good or bad.- Bethany Jane Andrews Hoey

There are a few talents that I wish with all my might that I had.  Among the top of my wish list is the ability to sing, to have nicer handwriting, and to draw.  Technically, I am a painter — I paint with my words and I capture images of life with letters strung after one another, but if you had seen any of my paintings or crafts from art class as a child or in High School, you would agree that I am surely not your typical artist.  I am (or was) in fact pretty terrible.

The truth is though that no matter how great or terrible of an “artist” we are, we are all artists at the very base of our nature.  It is simply part of our genetic make up, and this artistry dictates our ability to express our deepest emotions.   I love how Bethany Jane Andrews Hoey sees life as artistry: every second of our lives we are creating.  You and I are both artists and the world is our canvas, so what are you creating with your canvas of life?
