It’s a great day to be Trish Blackwell. Everyday is, as long as I believe that statement. It’s a statement I only came up with this past Wednesday on my day off while I was sitting at an outside cafe with a glass of sauvignon blanc in the 80 degree April afternoon, and it is a statement that can transform your day and your own self-perception. I practiced repeating the phrase yesterday at work. I reaped a productive, happy and fun work day. I said it out-loud this morning as I cradled my cup of coffee and I find myself eager to take on my 75 mile bike ride and 5 mile run today.
The more we are able to see ourselves for how blessed we really are, the more we will be able to maximize on the life that has been given to us. It’s a great day for me to go do a 5 hour workout, because, well, it’s a blessing in and of itself that I am physically able to do so and that I am blessed with time off from work to permit me so much free time. It truly is a great day to be Trish Blackwell.
I challenge you to try out this self-proclaiming mantra and to see how it opens your attitude towards things you may have never noticed or appreciated previously. It is a great day to be YOU. Every day is, if you believe that it is.
