I love cards. I love them so much that I save most of them that are given to me, especially the pretty ones or ones that have kind words of encouragement or love within. My fiancé Brandon has already been pre-warned to have a card and love note ready to hand to me for practically any big life moment or holiday. Written words simply make me feel loved.
After a 13-hour day yesterday, I was welcomed home by an unexpected piece of snail mail. A beautifully made card and note of thanks from someone I am just getting to know made both my heart and my house seem to glow the entire night. Thoughtfulness must never be underestimated; it must be celebrated and if you don’t learn how to celebrate the little things you will never be equipped to properly celebrate life.
Our lives are the physical reflection and embodiment of what beats within our hearts, so let your heart beat today of gratitude, love and joy for all of the little ways in which other people’s thoughtfulness makes your life better. Hire some snails and send out some good, old-fashioned, hand-written letters of appreciation and love.
