I have a bad habit: I sit on public toilet seats. Not all toilet seats, don’t worry, I’m not that gross, just the ones that look clean. Please know that my mom taught me better, and my boss is even on my case about it which gave me enough motivation to change (thanks Shawn!). I’m all for the extra squatting workout that not sitting on a toilet seat provides, but sometimes I’m just in so much of a rush that I simply forget and I just plop down. Yep, it’s gross, I’ll admit it. The good news though is that I am a changed woman.

Roll into change: once you make a commitment to changing a habit, you are already CHANGED. Stay focused on that fact as you work through the 21 days that it takes to form a habit.
I am breaking my habit, and I am on day six.
Forming a new habit is harder than you might think, but the key to breaking the old habit successfully is acknowledging at the start that you are a changed person already. You might not have a toilet seat habit like I do, but you surely have a habit that you would like to change. Start your change today and know that if you do you are a different person already. Habits that are successfully formed are ones that start with a right attitude, so own your attitude and make the change that you want to.
