Keeping in line with our body confidence theme this week, I want you to take ACTION to grow your confidence. Body confidence is a relationship, meaning that you need to take daily steps of self-awareness and self-care to really grow a positive relationship with yourself.
Challenge of the Weekend:
Pick three of the following eight suggestions to find freedom in your body:
Go skinnydipping.
Sleep naked.
Do 10 sun salutations naked.
Wear something tighter than your normally would, even if you never leave the house.
Dress up for something this weekend that you wouldn’t normally dress up for.
Take an epsom salt bath with candles and a book.
Get a massage or reflexology appointment for your feet.
Stretch for 45 minutes, focusing on deep breaths.
Reflection of the Weekend:
When are the moments in which you find yourself feeling uncomfortable in your skin? What typically triggers these feelings of insecurity? The next time you feel not 100% free in your skin, stop everything that you are doing, pull out your smartphone and make a list of 10 things that you want to instead celebrate about your body in that moment.
Life is too short to waste worrying about not having a “perfect” body. This is obviously much easier said that done, but if you train your mind to find freedom when you don’t feel free, then you will find the truth and the truth always sets you free.
