There’s something to be said about those people who pay attention to the small details. You know, the small hellos, the opening of doors, and the people with full grocery carts that allow the person with only two items to go ahead of them in line. It’s these small acts of common curtosey — which really are small acts of love — that make the frazzled aspects of our days more beautiful.
I am filled with suprising peace everytime someone cuts me off on the road and manages to do the little “thank you” wave. As long as they wave in appreciation, they might as well be my best friend. I frequent the same Starbucks every day because of one particular employee who knows me by my first name. I save little notes that friends leave me in passing, because, in the end, the little things are what make life really happen.
Never underestimate the power of a small gesture, or a thank you. Your kindness or small act of thoughtfulness might be the very thing that de-frazzles someone. You may inspire more sunshine in someone’s day than you realize, so embrace these little acts of love and keep on giving!
