Rejection hurts.
Putting yourself out there is tough.
Sometimes you might even cry over it.
I know I do, shoot, I cried on Saturday about something someone said about me.
And that’s all okay. When we are living life boldly and confidently we have to allow ourselves a moment or two to process emotion and to let our heart unburden itself of the unsettled feeling it takes to be brave and vulnerable.
The truth is…
Not everyone will like us
The way we see the world is not the way everyone else sees it
There will be people who disagree with us
We will have dissenters
Some people will not want us to succeed
Others will proactively try to pull us down so we don’t make them look bad
Our message to the world won’t speak to everyone
The things we think are important won’t be important to everyone
…and, despite all that, we have a unique, and needed story to live out with our lives, and therefore, we must continue to carry on with boldness and confidence, bravely pursuing the full potential and purpose God has spoken into our lives here on Earth.
So cry that tear. In fact, let all the tears out. Then, hug yourself. Take a deep breath. Put a smile on your face as you remind yourself of what is on your heart, and then carry on being brave and bold with living out your calling!
Being yourself takes bravery, so carry on, bold on!
