Can’t is a word that is foe to ambition. An enemy’s ambush to shatter his will. His foe is forever a man with a mission, so don’t say “I can’t”, say “I will.” -Unknown
Yesterday my friend Clarissa shared the above fabulous quotation because she remembered my New Year’s Resolution of eliminating the phrase “I can’t,” and I love it. The word “can’t” is a powerful word, and as it is beautifully put above, it is the ultimate enemy to our success in life. It is the foe to ambition, it is the foe to our dreams, it is the foe to living life to the fullest.
Anytime you are tempted to say the “can’t” word, think of it as a dirty four-letter word and replace it with “I will.” You can and will achieve absolutely anything you can dream of as long as you eliminate the foe of “can’t” entirely from your vocabulary. Psychological strength is like any other muscle that needs training, so work it hard and discipline yourself to choose your thoughts with precision and a can-do attitude.
