Feel good naked. If I am to define my success as a trainer, it is that I want all of my clients to feel good naked. Now, this is quite an onion-layered statement, full of possible meaning and interpretation, but it’s quite simple really. Feeling good naked is the ultimate mark of body confidence. You don’t have to be at your perfect weight to feel good naked. You don’t have to have six-pack abs or toned thighs to feel good naked. You just have to accept yourself for who you are today (and not tomorrow or once you’ve lost those last five pounds, but today).
My hope for everyone in my life is that they will start to see themselves for who they really are. When you can strip away the layers of clothes, the hours of makeup and the insecurities that we all hide behind, we are finally who we really are, then we are truly naked.
Start accepting your body for how it is naked, because, as soon as you do, your confidence, energy, and fitness results will skyrocket. Stop criticizing your winkles, sags or blemishes and start seeing them as beautiful trademarks that you have earned. Make it your new fitness and body-image goal to feel good naked.
All I know is that one day, my body will be as beautifully trademarked as the lovely couple in the photograph, and it is freeing to know right now that I already look forward to that day.
