I love water.
I drink it in excess: there is nothing better to me than ice cold water.
The first thing I do in the morning is drink 40 ounces of refrigerated water, and the last thing I do when I go to bed is the same. I sleep with a glass of water on my bedside table.
More than just drinking water, I have spent practically half of my life in the water or underwater as a swimmer and water-skier. Without water, my life would not be what it is today.
Understandably, I want clean drinking water for all, and the thought that over one billion people in our world today live without clean drinking water shakes my soul to the core. Please watch the video below, made by my good friend from Davidson College Michael Muniz, and please consider joining our Christmas Generosity Water Campaign. I do not believe in solicitation, especially via Beautiful Body Bistro, but as someone who cares about the health and well-being of all, I feel called to share.
If you can’t join the campaign, all I ask is that you start looking at water differently. Appreciate it. Drink the amount that your body needs. Be thankful for the blessings that come with water and give thanks for the fact that you live somewhere where water is over-abundantly available.
Join my group with my good friends (and athlete extraordinaires) the Fillnow Twins Hope4Ghana and let’s change the world.
