Time – our youth – it never really goes, does it? It is all in our minds. – Helen Hoover Santmyer
I have always preferred princesses over dragons, but when given the opportunity as an adult to act like a child on a purple dragon boat at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore yesterday, I just couldn’t resist. Dragons do fall into the same realm as unicorns which also justifies my Inner Harbor indulgence.
Peddling the purple paddle boat dragon around in a circle was way more fun than I could have possibly anticipated; youthfulness is always refreshingly surprising.
Drag in more fun into your life — choose exercise that you enjoy, play an old favorite board game or find a dragon boat, for it is a Helen Hoover Santmyer said, youth is all in the mind. We have the ability to shape and mold our minds. Will yours mold to age and anxiety or will it be malleable to the whimsical innocence of youth? It’s your choice.
As for me, my next quest is to find a pink unicorn paddle boat.
