I’m checking up on you today and want to know if you unplugged yourself at all this week. If not, pick a day this weekend to do so. I know that I’m hard-pressing you on this one, but really, it’s just so freeing that I want you to make sure that you have some “unplugged” in your life too.
Reflection of the Weekend:
Addictions are birthed out of the bad habits that we overlook or underestimate. The addiction of technology is just one small representation of how easily our habits can take over our lives without us realizing it. As you unplug in some capacity this weekend, think about the number one negative habit that you need, no, scratch that, will break in the coming month of June.
Challenge of the Weekend:
This weekend’s challenge is to do a 90-minute workout somewhere that you normally wouldn’t do it. If you work out in a gym, find a way to get outside. If you normally exercise outside, try a gym, or, even better yet, take a road trip somewhere (ahh, look at me adding adventure in!) and do your workout somewhere completely new.
Below are some workout ideas to get your juices flowing:
45 minute total body lift + 45 minute cardio
30 minute swim + 30 minute bike + 30 minute run
90 minute walk or bike with your family
90 minutes of helping someone else move
30 minutes outdoor yoga / stretching + 60 minute walk/jog (alternating every two minutes)
45 minutes TRX total body workout + 30 minutes foam rolling + 15 minutes stretch
30 minutes of boot camp mix (push-ups, air squats, lunges, jumping jacks, burpees, plank holds) + 30 minutes of cardio + 30 minutes of stretching
So many potential combinations! Just have fun with it!
Yours, the lady who is two days away from being married!
Trish
PS: Look for an email from me tomorrow with June’s book of the month…it’s a good one this month that we ALL can apply to our thought lives. Also, please mark your calendars for our June 15th call at 8PM EST!
