There is a point on everyone’s journey to greatness — that is, the journey in which one is properly pursuing their dreams — that others will throw out small digs, igniting self-doubt and fear in the person digging deep into life. They don’t do it on purpose, but it happens, and when you are digging deep into a whole new level of life, sometimes others just won’t understand.
When digs at your personal journey come your way from others you may know and love, remember that they are not necessarily maliciously intended, but rather that your dreams are misunderstood. Be confident in your dreams and share them with others. Be an example to those around you on how to dig deeper into life. Have the courage it takes to look fear and self-doubt head on without hesitation or dissuasion from your path. Remember that whatever your current goal, there will be obstacles. Doubt, fear, and criticism from outsides will always exist, but it’s up to you whether or not you give those voices power over your destiny or not.
If you want to dip deep in life, you need to expect a little sweat and a little resistance along the way.
