A few months ago I sat, awed and inspired, in the audience of a keynote presentation from global fitness entrepreneur, founder of Stroller Strides and Fit4Mom, Lisa Druxman. Lisa’s presentation resonated with my heart and I was eager to meet and connect with her. Her energy is contagious, her passion tangible and her authenticity refreshing. On top of all that, she has created a dynamic global community of women through the Fit4Mom brand that is overflowing with belief, energy, enthusiasm and love, and I had the great privilege of getting to taste that myself for the first first this weekend.
On Saturday, Lisa and I shared a stage. We co-presented the topic of confidence in a session called “Confidence Counts” at her Fit4Mom East Coast Summit and we had a blast. Her energy rocks, her people rock, her business rocks, and they’ve built their contagious community off a set of community beliefs they share. They call it their “We believe in…” statement, and I love it. On top of that, the theme for the entire weekend was to be bold and brave…and I’m still feeling high off that theme of encouragement, so I wanted to share it with you as you start your week!
We believe in you, both Lisa and I. And, we both challenge you to be bold and brave today.
Be bold.
Be brave.
Be yourself.
Do those things today, even if in only the tiniest of ways, and you will be amazed at the confidence that will well up inside of you and strengthen you. It’s okay to feel scared at first, but know this: you will feel amazing afterwards!
Confidence is a belief system. It is a choice. It is a decision on how to approach life and how to see yourself and your place in the world. It is only fitting that, here at the community center of all things confidence related, that we put forth a Confidence Credo – I love having mentors like Druxman who lead by example and create communities around belief systems and I absolutely must thank Lisa for the inspiration that made this Confidence Credo become a reality. The more you profess your beliefs and your values, the more confident you will be in walking them out with consistency and congruency. You’ll see more of the Confidence Credo as you continue to stay connected to this community of confidence growth! Remember, the reason we train our confidence is that because, when confident, we are then able to be fully alive, and fully ourselves, and that, my friends will allow our to make a significant and beautiful difference in this world!
The Confidence Credo is as much as it is for me as it is for you, since you are a part of the #BeMoreMovement – that is, the movement of people who are on fire for life and who are committed to being more of who they are meant to be each and every day.
Confidently yours,
Trish
