It may seem obvious that colors brighten our lives; this is a truth that we learn from the early age of Kindergarten. Somehow though, as adults, we forget to incorporate rainbows into our daily lives.
As a health and fitness professional, I’m not just talking about colorful, positive thinking, I’m talking about colorful eating. The more colorful your food, the better. (Caveat: Skittles, Fruity Pebbles, and other such foods are absolutely exempt from this statement — there is a huge difference between naturally colored foods and artificially colored foods).
I snapped a shot of my delicious cucumber, asparagus, salmon and crab sushi roll from lunch today; my plate was beautifully colored, and in turn, my body feels great.
Make your food choices this week as colorful as you can and you will be pleased at the progress you make on your New Year’s Resolutions!
