Happiness is within us all, but I for one know an overwhelming number of people who are anything but happy. Carlos Castaneda is quoted to have said: “We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.” He couldn’t be more right on: it takes just as much effort to live negatively as it does to live positively, so why don’t we all just committ to the type of thinking that rewards us exponentially with happiness?
Ultimately, happiness is just about enjoying life. You can not enjoy life if you can not enjoy your body, so start loving your body and you will discover a new movement of happiness. If you love elephants, chase elephants. If you love gardening, get out in the dirt and plant. Whatever you love, stop making excuses for not being happy and start chasing elephants. Life is simply too short not to soak up every ounce of it that you can.
