The heart is a tender thing and sometimes its fragility is what we need to be reminded of the beauty of the human spirit. Above all, always be true to yourself and to your heart, and in doing so, you will be true to others. It is in truth that beauty is freed. Although with truth sometimes comes pain, with pain comes healing, and with healing comes joy.
My mother always told me that when life gets you down, or out of service, to put up a service station. We will hurt. Our hearts will bleed. We will have disappointments in life. We will hurt others without intending to, and we will remember how vulnerability really feels and how sacred the heart is. Pain, both emotional and physical, is an inevitable reality of life, but it is what we do with that pain that brings us to a greater state of compassion.
Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions. -Rainer Maria Rilke
