A life which does not go into action is a failure. – Arnold Toynbee
There is a difference between action and movement, and ever since the Perform Better Summit last weekend in Rhode Island, I’ve done a lot of thinking about what exactly it is that sets apart some leaders from others. How does one person’s voice carry louder than another’s, how does one book become a best-seller over another, and how does one differentiate between pursuing life whole or only half-heartedly? Moreover, how do some people just seep life and joy, thriving on every minute of life, while others seem to trudge along in misery, “just surviving” the day?
The answer to all of my questions lies in ACTION. Just like Bruce Lee’s quote above, “knowing is not enough; willing is not enough. We must apply. We must DO,” we must do. It is not enough to know what our purpose and our passion is if we are not doing it with all our might.
If you want to have POW to your life, your words, and your legacy, take action in those areas of life where you know you need to step it up. Trust your gut and take the world with a bang.
