It’s easy to get overwhelmed in life, especially when you have big dreams and goals. Following your heart is hard to do, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it, so take heart and remember to just stay on your path. Last night, after a weekend crammed with intense financial planning for my next twenty years, I went to bed overwhelmed. I am following my dreams, yet, every night I have a small, nagging voice that peeps its head out in the darkness and tries to convince me that I’m not good enough. I always silence this voice and remind myself that the unexpected, that is, the true realization of one’s dream, is in fact possible.
When I stepped out of my house this morning to find myself among the falling snowflakes that were covering the sky, I laughed out loud. The unexpected is possible. Today’s snow is proof to me of that; and yes, while it does snow in Virginia in March, it was simply unexpected after a week of weather in the 50’s, 60’s and even 70’s, weather so beautiful that I’ve been running outside in a sports bra as if it were summer. Today’s snow is my visual reminder to silence the fears and doubts that nag at me unexpectedly, because, the reality is that good unexpected things do in fact happen.
Don’t worry so much. Everything is going to be amazing.
