Technology is something that seems to continually remind me that I am just a baby in a big world. It’s always changing, always updating, and the more you learn about it, the more you learn that you have more to learn. Just a simple upgrade from WordPress.com to WordPress.org took me an entire week to figure out, and ultimately I had to resort to the (god-send) help of my friend Dave to help me make the conversion.
My friend Dave’s assistance with the .com to .org conversion was not only encouraging, but also proved to be a reminder of how great it is to have friends. Friends make the giant world seem just a little more manageable, especially in those realms of our lives in which we feel completely overwhelmed or intimated (whether that is from a technology blockade, relationship drama or rough period in our lives). Real friends are the ones who will be there to help interpret life alongside you, helping you remember that people need people and that we are blessed to have one another in our lives.
In this week of Thanksgiving, spend time giving thanks for the friends in your life that make you feel less of a big baby in a big world. Thank these people for the companionship and support they give you in your life and in turn, be equally giving to those around you.
