There is a sales tactic that involves only giving the consumer two choices so that they must pick one of the two. I think that sometimes life pitches this sales strategy to us and it’s up to us on how we are actually sold.
When you look in the mirror and you see something that you don’t see on the Victoria Secret Model (ie., gasp, a “flaw”) what is it that you see? More simply put, are you flawed, or are you flawless?
We have the power to choose exactly how we view ourselves and how we view others. We are constantly being “sold” by societal media and marketing that we are “not good enough,” not beautiful enough, and not rich enough. We don’t always have to buy what is being sold to us. We can say “no thanks” to option A, and always choose option B.
Option B for the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty is what I myself would like to buy into: Flawless. Gorgeous. Wonderful. Are you going to buy everything you are sold? Do you trust what society is selling you? Be a wise shopper, buy your thoughts about yourself wisely.
