5 WAYS TO BE A MASSIVE ACTION TAKER
Set clear goals: To become a massive action taker, you need to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve. Set specific and measurable goals that are aligned with your values and priorities. This will help you to stay focused and motivated, and give you a sense of direction as you take action.
Create a plan: Once you have set your goals, create a plan of action that outlines the steps you need to take to achieve them. Break down the plan into smaller, more manageable tasks that you can work on each day. This will help you to stay organized and on track, and give you a sense of progress as you complete each task.
Develop a growth mindset: To become a massive action taker, you need to develop a growth mindset. This means embracing challenges, learning from failures, and believing in your ability to improve. When you encounter obstacles or setbacks, view them as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than as reasons to give up.
Take consistent action: To achieve your goals, you need to take consistent action. This means making a commitment to work on your plan each day, even when you don’t feel like it. Cultivate a strong work ethic, and make action a habit by incorporating it into your daily routine.
Embrace discomfort: To become a massive action taker, you need to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone. This means doing things that are uncomfortable or challenging, even if they make you feel vulnerable or exposed. Embrace discomfort as a necessary part of growth and progress, and push yourself to take action even when it feels difficult or scary.
WHY MASSIVE ACTION?
It will change everything.
The only difference between me now, and me in the past (and perhaps where you are) is the amount of massive action I’ve been willing to take.
I invest in coaching. I invest in myself.
I commit to new habits.
I try new things.
I experiment in my business.
I decide to do something, and then I follow through.
The decision I made when I was 25 to be a “MASSIVE ACTION TAKER” changed my life.
It gives me confidence for my future too because I know that no matter what happens, I’ll take action. I just do. I have built years of self-trust.
Being a massive action taker also takes the overthinking option out of it.
I don’t give myself the option to need to “feel like it”.
I don’t delay or wait until I feel ready.
I “ready, fire, aim”.
I don’t have the luxury or the habit of overthinking.

So buckle up, we got some good stuff to talk about. Because the reality is, too many people put off their goals and their dream lives. With the seemingly innocuous thought of Well, I'm not quite ready to start yet. And I just want you to know that not ready syndrome is a sneaky way that you will stay stuck even though you feel like you're quote quote unquote working on your goal. Most often, you're just thinking about your goal or overstating your goal, or becoming a student and buying all the courses for the things that are associated with your goal. And you're you're talking about it but you're not doing it, we got to start walking the walk instead of just talking the talk. So in this episode, we're gonna talk about getting out of the stagnation station of feeling not ready or not good enough. This episode my whole my entire goal is that you walk away feeling empowered and able to become a massive action taker right away, especially for the things that are intimidating to you. So even more specifically, what are we talking about? We're talking about what is not ready syndrome, how is keeping you stuck? Three ways to overcome not ready syndrome. And then five easy ways to become a massive action taker and create the life you dream of five things you can do right now. And by the way, easy and simple. is available to everyone. Just most people go and do it tomorrow. I'm not ready. I don't feel like it. When you just become somebody says I'm just going to be decisive and take action. Those two things. Those two superpowers together are like super potions that will help you do anything. Those are the are the the essence to keep to get you started to keep you from overthinking to not worry about what others are thinking you just decide and do decide and do decide to do. Rinse, repeat, decide and do. And I'm going to also share with you 15 power phrases that massive massive action takers think when I started this, this journey of personal development and really the training of my mind my thought management and became disciplined in it. I where I started off excelling was being a massive action taker and that is thanks to some amazing parenting from my mom. I'm to some amazing influences by some some leadership and mentors in my life. And in doing that I started teaching, I was in a leadership position, and mentorship position, I started teaching others and the people who to receive this and simply said, I'm going to become a massive action taker. They went and created amazing things with their life. I was at one point overseeing about 40 personal trainers. And at that season of this time, I we were I was just teaching massive action, and messy action. Massive Action means messy action, it means a willingness to fail, it means you're never you know, you're never going to be ready. So you might as well just go and give something a go. I had over 10 of over a quarter of my staff in a job that people think, oh, you know, you make more money than they'd ever made clear, the six figure marks working in a position in a any area of our life of the country that wasn't high income earning. And then the same, another group went and created their own businesses. Because once you become who you surround yourself with, and we have this incredible energy of, of people who are doers decide and do. And we just did things. Let's the power of community. First off, it's also the power of decision. And if you look at my life now, and you see my coaching practice, now I am almost oh my gosh, we're at the 10 year mark into it. And it's easy to look and say, well, she goes to Vail for a week. And then she goes to Paris for a month. And that must be nice to know you're going to Morocco. And oh, you will have Fridays with your five year old like, sounds nice, right? But I want you to know that these were thoughts I decided and visions I had, and commitments, I decided that I could create with my life. And I kept showing up. I decided and I did, I decided and I did and I failed and I got up and I failed and I got up. And I kept going and I got coached, and I got coached, and I got coached, and I did the work. And I kept believing. And then I got discouraged. And I kept believing, and it kept getting up and it was willing to try things. And I just want you to know that when you see the final product or the product in process, it's so easy to go. Okay. Must be nice. So please, y'all please people always assume that things have come easily they don't they have that not to anyone. There is no such thing as an overnight success. You know what the thing is? Massive Action, willingness to fail, decide, and do. But if you're keep saying I'm not ready yet, or it's not the right time, it's not the right season, I could very easily set another season of my life to start a business when I had I was pregnant with my daughter. I started I mark when I went independent for myself full time for Trish Blackwell coaching. When I was three months pregnant with Ellie and Ellie is eight. Not great time. Best time. no better time. There's no such thing as a great time. The time that you have is the time that you have that makes it great. And so please know this I'm not a unicorn. i There's nothing special about me. I mean, look, we're all snowflakes. We're all amazing creatures that God were masterpieces that and God's children. Like I'm all for that. But please know that when you look at me, you can't go oh, it's because of this and this and this. No, no, the I'm a massive action taker. I am not different than you. I'm just willing to feel more feelings of willing to fail more. I'm willing to put myself out. I'm willing to be embarrassed. I'm willing to feel awkward. I'm willing to try and fail and be discouraged and get back up and keep believing. I'm willing to journal every single day I'm willing to be coached and willing to put myself out there. I'm not a unicorn. I'm just willing. I'm a massive action taker I'm willing to read and listen to audiobooks and sip listen to music when I'm working out I'm willing to be a student of life then rather than pretend I know it all like I'm just willing to take action I'm willing to try and fail unwilling to try again and fail again and then try it and then pivot I learned this first by watching my mom and look it maybe you don't have a Diane Blackwell in your life but you can learn it by watching me I feel all the time still all the time.
9:07
And I want to teach my kids that that's how we go forward there's no such thing as the perfect time. There are a great time the time that you have is great and so please also remember that just because you haven't done in the past and you haven't been maybe you haven't been a massive action taker in the past doesn't mean that you can't do it moving forward now period. So first massive action I want you to take is I want you to go to Trish blackwell.com forward slash more confident and join me for 30 minutes this comm it's two days from now we're going live for a 30 minute power packed masterclass where I'm going to deliver three simple ways for you to be more confidence Thursday, April 6, it's 100%. Highly recommended listening and subscribing. Thank you, friend. Thank you, friend. Alright guys, let's dive into coaching. Okay, let's talk about this not ready syndrome. In short, it's the statement, anything that goes around the statement and the belief that undercurrent you might not even be putting your finger on this. But anything in your mind that says I'm not ready, I'm not ready to be on camera. I'm not ready to start that social media platform, I'm not ready to start this new job. I'm not ready to start school I'm not ready to, to speak up and speak my mind. I'm not ready to, to have that hard conversation to speak to my spouse to say, let's work on our marriage, right? I'm not ready to start therapy. I'm going to do it when I have more time. Like, what not what what is it because here's what I want to call us all out on. We believe in this mythical concept of more time doesn't exist. We also believe in this fairy tale that we're going to ever quote unquote, feel ready. Also doesn't exist. Doesn't exist. More time and feeling ready are not real things. You're never gonna have the right amount of time or have more time than you do right now. I know we tell ourselves No, I'm just so busy now. And then you're going to look at the next five years of real life. If you keep that narrative, and the narrative will never change. Please stop putting your life off. And you're never going to feel ready. Because the more you've learned, the more you're going to learn that you don't really know and then you're not going to feel ready. And then you start comparing note where there's no ready is not a real feeling. And so you might not be these are some things you might be saying if you're falling into not ready syndrome. I'm not feeling motivated enough right now. Ah, you know, I just don't have enough time to start this right now. I need to wait till I have everything I need. I don't know where to start. So you might be saying I'm not ready. But you might be saying things like, I'm just so overwhelmed. I'm just so busy. I have all these ideas. But when I have time, I'll I'll start them. I don't know where to start, I'm not good enough to do this yet. I'll do it later, when I'm in a better mood. I need to finish this other task first, I don't want to fail. So maybe it should prepare some more. Or I'm too tired to start working on this right now. I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do. I'm too overwhelmed to even start I need to research before I can start. I'll just do it tomorrow. I need to wait till I feel confident to start I don't have the skills or knowledge. I don't want to deal with the stress of starting something new because I can barely keep up with what I've got. I'm I'm waiting for the right moment. I'm waiting for the right person to say yes, I'll start when am I better when I'm in a better place in my life. Guys, none of that's going to ever. You're never going to start. I want to go back. It sounds so simple. But really there's power decide and do as we speak. I am actually recording it is 741. On a Friday evening I've been working and doing actually say that I've been working I've been working and then parenting and then working and then working out and then working and then picket bowling with my five year old and then working and then getting off to like, I've been one of those on and off days start stop, start stop. One thing I decided today was that today this podcast would be finished. I started and I had I was 10 minutes and I was on a roll and then my husband and me stopped. And now it's Friday night almost 8pm And I want to just spend time with Brandon. But I decided that I would do this and then I would show up for you. And so I follow through on my promises to myself. So Brandon is going to he's waiting for me and I'll be there in 15 minutes but I follow through it's I'll be in a better place tomorrow when I can do this. I'll sometimes I never sometimes I overthink the podcast and I'm like, Oh, I'm not motivated. I'm not like really ready to record and I've learned from trial and error. I'm never gonna ever feel ready until I start talking. And you won't either Just decide to do, you are falling into the not ready syndrome into the more time, like myth and mythology, from these little tiny phrases that you're not possibly even realizing that you're saying, and how do you know listen, I want to know, I want you to be honest with yourself that there's something in your life that you haven't yet achieved or that you want to go for. And you've keep thinking, you'll do it when you have more time.
15:25
And you don't have it yet and you haven't started yet. Chances are, you're seeing one of these things. So it's time to stop the madness, and start taking action massive action to side. And then do I want to take a quick break for a word from our sponsor, abide. Now what's interesting to look at is also held the not really syndrome really kind of also disguises itself as imposter syndrome. And here are some things you might not know if you are struggling with imposter syndrome. And essentially, imposter syndrome is the belief that you are a fraud or that it was a fluke, the success you've had so far is not going to continue. You're not sure. If you're bringing value to the table where you are, you're always you're constantly anxious or worried you might lose your job because you're not sure if you're doing good enough. It's that not enough, not worthy thought about where you've been placed. Now, you might not realize if you're doing this, but it's also I'm not ready, basically. So it's the deeper manifestation of the belief that you're just not ready. But again, you are because there's no such thing as being ready. There's no such thing as being perfectly qualified. Your open growth mindset Desire to Learn desire for excellence makes you qualified. So here are some things that people with impostor syndrome say, or think that might that would be undercurrents, that underbelly of the brain. Things like I don't deserve to be here. I'm not qualified enough for this position. Or maybe I'm not as qualified, as experienced as so and so I'm not as talented as others around me. I'm just lucky that I got this job. It's not because of my skills, or God's goodness, or I'm afraid of being exposed as a fraud. I feel like I'm fooling everyone around me, maybe I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm constantly worried about making mistakes, or I feel like I have to work twice as hard to prove myself or maybe you're saying I'm just going to do extra work that way. No one questions that I'm doing a good job. Or maybe it's coming out in your brain as I'm afraid to speak up or share my ideas because they might be wrong. Maybe you thought I'm just faking it till I make it. Or I'm afraid of being judged or criticized by others. I feel like I'm worried that I'm not living up to expectations, or worry that others will find out that I don't know as much as they think I do. I feel like I don't belong in this field or industry. I'm just trying right? I don't feel comfortable accepting praise or compliments for my work. I'm constantly comparing myself to others and feeling inadequate. I'm always second guessing my decisions, overworking and feeling like a fraud even when I achieve success, or I'm afraid they'll never meet my boss's expectations or the expectations of others. And if you've been thinking these thoughts, I want to I want to encourage you, they're just thoughts. They're not necessarily the truth. And you can take action And through those thoughts by reminding yourself that you are becoming a massive action taker, that you are someone who is open to learning, you work if you are coachable, you are valuable in any industry just to those who are struggling. If you are asking, Hey, can you give me feedback? Can you help me grow? Are there resources for me to improve? Can you give me like I'm here, please mold me, I want to be your most coachable, most valuable, most improved person on staff, guys, that conveys with massive confidence. And for those of you who do want to improve your work confidence overall, I in about three weeks, I think we are in three weeks we'll be having an episode on work confidence. So make sure you subscribe to the show. But there, but really, it comes to to get past this impostor syndrome or not feeling ready enough or not feeling qualified enough. There. Really I just need you to start with what you have, and reframe your mindset. And then really dial into what we're focusing on today to become a massive action taker. Now, how do you become a massive action taker, I've got five simple ways for you to do it. set clear goals, create a plan, develop a growth mindset, take consistent action, take consistent action, and embrace discomfort, let's just run through those really quickly. Because I really want to give you these power phrases. So you can start speaking this new identity over yourself to be a massive action taker. One set clear goals. Because to be a massive action taker, you have to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve. If you set specific and measurable goals that are aligned with your values and priorities, you will stay focused and motivated and give you here's what the key is a sense of direction. When you take action. You don't need to be ready, you just have to go in the point in the direction you think you should go. And if you need to pivot the direction once you start, that's okay too. But often you can't know until you start going. It's like trying to go somewhere in your car and follow just the Northwest like your your actual compass versus your navigation system. But then not being willing to start your car and see what direction your car is facing start. We have to start set clear goals get direction start, create a clear plan. Break your plan down, say Alright, so the plan is me. I'm gonna take my next three steps. I think the plan, really recall involves going what are the next three good choices I can make? What are the next three actions I can take? I do this all the time in my business. What are the next three actions I can take? I might have a further back pulled back vision of ways things and ideas and, and projects and plans. But in the day to day what or to take massive action. I gotta stay in today. What's important today? What can I take action on today? What can I move forward today? What can I stir today. And then so key to be have a growth mindset. To become a massive action taker, you've got to develop a growth mindset, which means that you embrace challenges, because you know that your challenges help you learn from failures. And that you are everything is an opportunity to learn an opportunity to grow an obstacle, a step, a setback, you you actually celebrate those things. They're not reasons to give up the reasons to celery because they're growing you and then take consistent action.
23:24
consistent action is the key to everything. It means knowing deciding at a time and then doing it and then deciding how to time and doing it and knowing that you're going to be inconvenienced and knowing that you're going to you'd rather do something else at the time, but you still stick to your commitment to be consistent in your action because action creates results. And then to do that you've got to embrace discomfort. To be a massive action taker you've got to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone and sometimes that means doing things that are emotionally uncomfortable. And sometimes it means doing things that are inconvenient or not in your ideal schedule or at your ideal time are challenging. But embracing discomfort whether it's feeling vulnerable or exposed or just following through when it's honestly just not convenient is a necessary part of growth and progress and will help you push yourself to take action when it feels scary when it feels difficult or just when you're feeling like you don't feel like it. But if you say I am a person who's not afraid of discomfort I'm a person who takes action no matter what you will break through a lot of the hurdles that are holding you back and we've already talked about this but I just want to camp out for just one more minute on why massive action. Why because it will change everything. The only difference between me now and me in the past which is perhaps where you are right or maybe not like me now versus me in the past is the amount of massive action have been willing to take inconvenient action scary action, uncertain action. I invest in coaching. I invest in myself. I commit to new habits I try new things things, I record podcasts when I would rather be drinking a glass of wine with my husband, I, I do what I've told myself I was going to do for the day, I experiment my business, I decided to do something. And then I follow through. The decision that I made that really changed my life when I was 25 was to be a massive action taker. I remember just saying that. And if you go back to like my very first podcast episodes, which by the way, you can find this there. I think in most of the podcast apps, they only allow the, like, the most recent 300 episodes, and gosh, we're at 541. So there's almost over 200 episodes probably. Well, and I had a previous show that had 34 episodes before that. So you're gonna find about 250 episodes, if you just go to my website, Trish blackwell.com forward slash podcast, that's how you're gonna get all the all the classic episodes. But I can remember one of the first things that I spoke about on the podcast was that power statement, I am a massive action taker. That new identity changed my life. And it gives me the confidence my feet for my future to give me a ton of confidence, that, that no matter what happens, I know, I'll take action. I just do. I've built years of self trust in that. And I mean that when I think about my, my future as a parent, as a wife, as an entrepreneur and as a business owner, and as just in my personal life and my own personal goals. I love knowing that at the core of who I am, I take action. Yes, sometimes I might have a day where I pout or just need need a day of rest and reset. But fundamentally, I built years of self trust and every time you show up for yourself every time you follow through, you're building that self trust and reliability. Being a massive action taker also takes the overthinking option out of it. I don't give myself the option to need to quote unquote feel like it I don't delay or wait till I feel ready. I as my my mentor Todd Durkin told me ready fire aim was really it's typically that phrase goes Ready Aim Fire, now ready fire, and then we correct the aim. The your willingness to take action is going to do to give you insight to to the level of success and breakthrough you're going to be able to see. And I love this too, when you decide that you're a massive action taker. You also don't have the luxury or the habit of overthinking, you don't get to indulge in confusion or laziness, you just go shoot like oh, this is why I'm now you take action. So as you think about this, I want to give you some power phrases that massive action takers think and then I'm going to give you some very simple ones. So the first ones are flowering long. And I do encourage you to go to the website, go and check out my show notes. Trish blackwell.com, forward slash 541. And you'll see these written out and then the shorter ones I sometimes think simpler is more powerful. But depending on where you are, and your day and your motions. You might like the short ones, you might like the long ones. Here we go. I am capable of achieving my goals. I have the resources I need to succeed. I am willing to take risks and embrace challenges. I am committed to taking consistent action towards my goals. Amen. Amen. Come on, right. I am committed to taking consistent action towards my goals. I am always learning and growing. I believe in myself and my ability to succeed. I am resilient and can overcome any obstacle. I am focused and disciplined in my actions. I'm creating the life I want through my actions. I am grateful for every opportunity to take action and move closer to my goals. Guys moving closer, we're talking micro movements. Being grateful for this micro movements. Yes, I am worthy of success, and we'll do whatever it takes to achieve it. I trust my intuition to make decisions with confidence. I am fully committed to my goals and take action with a termination. I love this next one. I love it. I am fearless and relentless in the pursuit of my dreams. I am responsible for my own success and take ownership of my actions. And another one for those of you coming from a place of faith. I will steward well that which God has entrusted me that goes that that one that gets me to show up. That gets me to take massive action. And then finally the most simple of them is I am a massive action taker. And you might not believe this yet. That's okay. Just start speaking over yourself. And you'll find you'll start taking micro action. You'll start taking more action. And if you've been taking no action, well then guess what? taking massive action and taking more action from zero Action is actually massive action. I also like these these are these are power phrases. I've spoken over myself over the years and they've been really really powerful. I am an action taker. I am a dream chaser. I am a world changer. I am a difference maker. I am significant. I am loved. I'm gonna say those again. link them with me. I'm gonna pause. I am an action taker. I am a dream chaser. I am a world changer.
