WHAT IS CONFIDENCE AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Belief in oneself: Confidence is the belief in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment. It is the feeling of knowing that you are capable of achieving your goals and handling whatever challenges come your way.

Trust in the outcome: Confidence is also the trust that you will be able to achieve the desired outcome, even if the path is not always clear or easy. It is the ability to remain optimistic and motivated, despite setbacks or obstacles.

Self-assuredness: Confidence is the sense of self-assuredness that comes from having a strong sense of identity and purpose. It is the feeling of being comfortable in your own skin and knowing who you are, what you stand for, and what you want.

Resilience: Confidence is also the ability to bounce back from failure or rejection, and to keep moving forward with a positive attitude. It is the resilience to handle setbacks and challenges, and to learn and grow from them.

Action-oriented: Finally, confidence is an action-oriented mindset. It is the willingness to take risks, to step outside of one’s comfort zone, and to push oneself to grow and develop. It is the ability to take bold and decisive action, even in the face of uncertainty or fear.

WHICH CONFIDENCE PRINCIPLE TO WORK ON FIRST?

Here are two journal prompts to help you know who you are: 

  • What are your top five values, and how do they influence your decisions and behaviors? Take some time to reflect on what truly matters to you in life. Write down your top five values and explore how they guide your actions and decisions. Consider times when you may have compromised your values and how it made you feel. This exercise can help you understand your core beliefs and values and how they impact your identity.

  • What are your strengths and weaknesses, and how do they contribute to your overall personality? Reflect on your unique abilities and challenges. Consider asking friends or family members to provide feedback on your strengths and weaknesses. Write down your observations and explore how they contribute to your personality and identity. This exercise can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and understand how they shape your perception of yourself.

Here are two journal prompts to help you explore your self-worth and understanding of knowing that you matter:

  • What are some of your proudest accomplishments, and how have they impacted your sense of self-worth? Write down a list of your accomplishments, big and small. Consider how each achievement made you feel and how it contributed to your sense of self-worth. Reflect on whether you tend to downplay your accomplishments or dismiss them as insignificant. This exercise can help you understand your self-worth and identify areas where you may need to give yourself more credit.

  • What are your unique strengths, qualities, and talents that you bring to the world? Reflect on what makes you special and unique. Write down a list of your strengths, qualities, and talents, and how they contribute to the world around you. Consider how you can use these attributes to make a positive impact on others. This exercise can help you recognize your inherent value and understand that you matter in the world.

Here are two journal prompts to help you explore your desires and understanding of what you know you want:

  • What are your long-term goals, and how do they align with your values and aspirations? Write down your long-term goals and aspirations, both personal and professional. Consider how each goal aligns with your values and what you want to achieve in life. Reflect on whether your goals are realistic and achievable, or if they need to be adjusted. This exercise can help you clarify your desires and understand what you want to achieve in life.

  • What activities or experiences bring you the most joy and fulfillment, and how can you incorporate them into your life more often? Think about the activities or experiences that make you feel happiest and most fulfilled. Write down a list of these activities and consider how you can incorporate them into your daily life. Reflect on whether you are currently doing enough of what you love or if there are areas where you need to prioritize your desires more. This exercise can help you identify your passions and understand what you want more of in your life.

Here are two journal prompts to help you explore you thought patterns and your mastery on how to think on purpose and with thought management: 

  • What are some of the negative thought patterns you tend to engage in, and how do they impact your emotions and behaviors? Reflect on your thought patterns, particularly negative ones. Write down examples of negative self-talk or cognitive distortions you engage in, such as all-or-nothing thinking or catastrophizing. Consider how these patterns impact your emotions and behaviors. This exercise can help you become more aware of negative thought patterns and start to challenge and reframe them.
  • What are some positive affirmations or mantras you can use to reframe negative thoughts and cultivate a more positive mindset? Think about positive affirmations or mantras that can help you reframe negative thoughts and shift your mindset. Write down a list of affirmations or mantras that resonate with you and reflect on how you can incorporate them into your daily routine. This exercise can help you develop more positive thought patterns and become more intentional about the way you think.

Here are two journal prompts to help you explore your mindset towards your future: (and your optimism and faith to believe that your future is better than your past)

  • What are some of the positive experiences or achievements you have had in the past, and how can you use them as a foundation for a better future? Reflect on positive experiences or achievements you have had in the past. Write down how they made you feel and consider how you can use them as a foundation for a better future. Reflect on what you can learn from your past successes and how you can build on them to create a better future for yourself.
  • What are some of your hopes and dreams for the future, and how can you take steps towards achieving them? Think about your hopes and dreams for the future. Write down what you want to achieve and consider what steps you can take to make them a reality. Reflect on what obstacles you may encounter and how you can overcome them. This exercise can help you develop a more positive outlook towards your future and empower you to take action towards creating the life you want.
