It creates a baseline of negativity in our cognitive atmosphere.

It makes things 10x harder than they actually are.

It makes us behind and drives us to overthinking / procrastination.

It creates mountains out of molehills.

It slows us down and incites buffering / self-sabotage

It causes us to second-guess ourselves and to pay too much attention to our emotions

HOW TO STOP DREADING THINGS – 10 THINGS YOU CAN DO

(Even if it’s goal setting)

  1. Identify as an action-taker
  2. Use the 5-Second Rule
  3. Show up for your future-self as a friend today
  4. Believe in a different future than what you’ve experienced in the past
  5. Create better self-care reward systems
  6. Get accountability
  7. Calendar everything (don’t give yourself a choice)
  8. Cultivate the emotions you want that will lead to easier and more confident action
  9. Understand how long the task / thing really is – make it not a big deal
  10. Be honest about the cost – and write down your real desire
