I have never felt so connected with my mind, body and soul until I listened to Trish Blackwell. Being a teenager in college, I constantly struggle with relationships with food, positive body image, self love nad confidence. I have wanted to be the best me I can be for a long time, but never had direction. Trish is my spirit guide. She empathizes, inspires, empowers, and uplifts me whenever I listen to her. She is my go-to whenever I am in a bad gplace or when I need a boost of confidence. I’m always tleling my friends to listen to her podcasts. Because of her, I am living my best life and continue to see my inner light. Thank you Trish!!! <3
MY STORY …..
I’ll never forget when my ex-fiancé told me I was a nobody.
It was about 15 years ago, right before moving from a smaller town to a big city.
He told me that I WASN’T going to be as successful in that city as I was where I had been before.
He told me that I WASN’T going to stand out, that I was just a little, forgettable fish in a big pond.
He told me to SETTLE for just being average and to let that be good enough for me, you know, in the big city.
But he was WRONG.
His words were meant to initiate and control me, but they unleashed something epic in my drive.
No less than 3 months later, I had established myself as a leader in my industry in that city.
I exceeded my employer’s expectations and broke company sales records.
I was cast to be on the revived television show, American Gladiators (which I ultimately turned down).
He had told me that I was just a nobody.
I decided not to believe him.
So, I don’t care what someone once said to you.
I don’t care about anything negative anyone has spoken over you.
It doesn’t mean that it has to be true.
You and only you are responsible for what limitations are in your life.
You belong.
You can be more than you imagined.
I’m not good at friendship.
I’m not pretty.
I’m not smart.
I’m just average.
I’m not funny.
People don’t go out of their way for me.
I’m a burden.

(They don’t look good on you)
I’m a burden.
I don’t belong. I don’t fit in.
I’m not enough.
I shouldn’t ask people.
I’ve lost my purpose.
It’s too late.
It’s better to blend in than stand out.
I can’t trust anyone, including myself.
I’m behind.
I’m not good enough.
I’m weird / awkward / clumsy /ugly.
Just because it was passed down to you, or experienced, it doesn’t have to be something you keep.
You have choice here.
Don’t believe the lie that you don’t have choice.
You can disown, deposit, drop anything you want.
But, be ready, it’s going to follow you. Repeat your resolve.
First you must believe in the possibility of change.
Pick the thought.
Repeat the thought.
Repeat, repeat, repeat.
Try it on.
What if this were true.
How could you life change if you believed in yourself?

Hi Trish! A big sisterly hug from Sweden. Since I changed to an Android phone, I haven’t been able to figure out how to leave a podcast review for you.
You are such a beautiful woman of God. I struggle a lot with never feeling enough and insecurities from childhood, always seeking for approval and belonging as a third culture kid (Finnish-Nigerian) now living in Sweden. I’m blessed wit ha such a beautiful family and only now realizing that success lies in that and not career or being approved by random people.
I have suffered numerous burnouts during my short life not realizing that I have made the choice of doing so…or rather been passive to not reject stress and depression.
Sister, I am enjoying each and every episode of yours. I thank God for your life and how you continue bless others.
Xoxox Sandra, your nomade sis.
