4 PRACTICAL WAYS TO LIVE
LIFE HAPPY AND HEALTHY NOW
Do you remember that free, unadulterated happiness you felt as a child? I’m talking about the kind of happiness where all of your worries dissipate and where even under cloudy skies the sun shone brightly and life felt boundlessly hopeful and free? I’m not sure when you felt it the most tangibly, but for me it climaxed the most in the small, cherished childhood moments, which is probably why such experiences are so universally quintessential. I’m talking about the fresh feeling that washes over your body when you plunge into cold water with a cannonball splash. That feeling when your creativity and curiosity collide as you lay on the grass staring at thousands of blades of grass and see a different green in each. That feeling of confidence around Christmastime when the world fills with love, carols and anticipation and how your belief in elves and magical reindeer gave your heart a tingle of wonder about the world and all that is good. I’m talking about living life happily, and I believe we all have had a taste of its beauty and that we all – no matter our external circumstances – can continue to live with sustained happiness and joy in our hearts.
One of the keys to living life happy is to live it in our best form of health possible. Happiness and health are partners and work together to create more of one another. The more you invest in your health, the more you are investing in your happiness. The more you invest in your happiness, the more you invest in your health. Approach both with intentionality and you are really going to amp up your level of living and happiness in life.
I created a four-part video series on practical ways to live happier and healthier on my Facebook page, called the #happinessandhealthcoachingseries, and wanted to combine them into one central post for you to easily work through each of the videos. Let’s face it – our lives are messy, and complicated, and over-scheduled – and in the midst of all the commotion, it is very easy to lose sight of what matters and of what will sustain us, which are our happiness and our health.
