June is upon us, and I really think that the changeover of a month is beautiful thing to celebrate, so today I wanted to share with you three simple ways I believe you can make June your best month yet this year. Here’s how:
1. Pick one new good habit to commit to and do it.
By picking one new good habit to focus on you are investing in yourself at the very core of who you are, because, as Aristotle said, “we are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” You only have to commit to this new habit for 30 days, and it doesn’t have to be a huge, dramatic change or challenge, it just needs to be something positive that will launch you towards becoming the best version of yourself and towards excellence. Maybe you want to wake up an hour early for some quiet time, journaling and reflection, or maybe you are finally ready to up your daily water intake, or perhaps you want to make a habit of starting each day with a positive mantra and attitude, whatever your new good habit, define it clearly for yourself today and then go after it!
2. Pick one way to challenge yourself this month and do it.
There’s no more effective way to grow, than through a challenge. Challenges carve out of us character that we might not have otherwise had the opportunity to bring to life without the pressure of such circumstances. It’s no secret that the happiest and most successful people in the world thrive on continually challenging themselves, so make this month a month that you commit to doing the same. I have my own personal challenge lined up and ready for the month – and, perhaps more importantly, I have it written down and I have shared it with three accountability buddies. I encourage you, no, no, I challenge you to do the same!
3. Pick one word or phrase that will define the way you love others this month.
I confess, I couldn’t keep this to one word for myself, so instead of a word, I am focusing on a phrase and my phrase is: encouraging opportunity. I am committed this month to enthusiastically encourage those around me to rise to the occasion of opportunity that presents itself before them. This might mean reaching out to someone specifically to follow a dream they’ve been considering, it might mean a word of encouragement in the pursuit of a career change, or it might mean inspiring vision in my Beautycounter teammates to really create a lifestyle of financial freedom for themselves and their families. Whatever form it takes, I am committed to focus on encouraging others to take new opportunities, to walk through new doors and to have the courage to step outside of their comfort zones with extra enthusiasm this month. (And, by the way, if you want to step outside of your comfort zone, and lend your voice to a movement and mission that matters, all while being generously compensated, I would love to encourage you to consider the opportunity of becoming a Beautycounter consultant and educator … and, by the way, by doing so, you would gain me as your personal mentor to encourage you to step fully into every opportunity that presents itself along the way after that! …. to find out more about this amazing opportunity, email me directly at trish@trishblackwell.com)
Seize the month!
Confidently yours,
Trish
