Coaching your confidence and courage to that you finish what you start and contribute to the world in a way that matters.
In this episode of #TheConfidencePodcast we’re chatting about:
As always, a quick hello to all of my Keep the Faith listeners, thanks for being a part of this extended community of contagious encouragement.
For us, March 4th is a day of activism and advocacy, and so this March, I am highlighting the need for clean and safe personal care products. If you are someone that uses any sort of personal care product (shampoo, deodorant, lotion, toothpaste, etc.) I am working for a company that is FIGHTING FOR YOU and the products you use everyday. You see, this isn’t about us selling a face lotion that will make your wrinkles smooth away, this is about us fighting FOR A SOLUTION to the fact that of the 80,000 chemicals in the marketplace 80% have never been tested for human safety. Moreover, the lack of regulation in products right now means that MANY products contain known toxins that are dramatically impacting our health in negative ways.
We have the right for better – help us demand better. YOU CAN MAKE YOUR VOICE KNOWN WITH A SIMPLE TEXT MESSAGE. Text “BetterBeauty” to 52886 to ask Congress for better beauty laws. It’s that simple – one quick text and you are making a positive impact!
We work because we can’t stand by idly as harmful chemicals cause our loved ones to get sick, struggle with fertility, and give birth to children with significant health issues. We work towards cleaner beauty everywhere because this is personal to all of us.

-distraction
You need to believe that you deserve it – that it exists for you.
Success and happiness are not unicorns.
They really do exist.
You have to believe that.
It’s not something way off, reserved for the super smart, the super skinny, the super achievers … it is for you.
One of the main things that keep me back from my best is the comparison trap of trying to be better than others – or feeling less than by measuring my success versus theirs. There’s no “levels” of success that are comparable – there’s just living in your own state of success.
You may not be experiencing the success you want in life simply because you haven’t made room in your mental realm of possibilities. You need to stop living as if you are always holding your breath and believe that life can be good.
I just wanted to send you an email because your podcast has made such a difference in my life! I can’t remember when or how I first found it, but it was quite a while ago and I’d listened to the odd episode here and there. Recently things have felt pretty rough. I was at my heaviest, my pants were getting uncomfortable, and my full-time job (engineering) has been sucking my happiness from life.
To start to make changes, I promised myself in mid-July that I just had to go for a minimum 30-minute walk every day. That was it. I started listening to your podcast to accompany these walks. Within a couple of days I felt drastically different. The combination of the walk and your voice was extremely uplifting and motivating.
I had plans to leave my job next spring to focus on my passion (opening a fitness studio in the fall – I’ve been a group fitness instructor for the past 8 years and I KNOW that’s the best way that I can serve others is through fitness and coaching). With my job weighing down on me, the deadline to quit has been sneaking closer and closer because I just can’t put up with it.
Through the confidence I’ve gained from your podcast, I’m planning to give my notice at work next week, and be done by September 15. I don’t have anything lined up (yet), I have some savings, and I have massive faith that I can make it work and that it will work out in the end.
Rediscovering your podcast and listening almost daily makes me feel like a better person. If I miss a couple of days, I can feel the impact it has on me emotionally! I really loved this week’s episode about changing your “have to’s” into “get to’s”. It’s funny, I was already saying this sometimes in my fitness classes (after doing lunges, I would say to my class “alright everyone, time to do the other leg! We GET TO do the other leg! Aren’t we lucky to have two legs?!!” which would be lighthearted, but I really mean it, not everyone is lucky enough to have two working legs!). This wasn’t something that I transferred to other areas of my life though. It will be something that I apply to re-frame how I look at things. In the past I have successfully removed “I’m too busy for X/I don’t have time for X” and changed it to “X isn’t a priority for me” thanks to this video from Steve Kamb of Nerd Fitness (https://youtu.be/1Wkhf7Zln9I?list=PL6eFqVPfqFBCvVEm9OlWsvGtPlfj8nlLO) and I’m looking forward to changing my “have to’s” to “get to’s”.
The language we use is so powerful in how we shape our reality, and I think this is really why your podcast has been so helpful for me. Listening to your positivity everyday really makes me believe I can do whatever I set my mind to, and I’m very excited to do that and be a massive action taker.
Thank you for all you do, and congratulations on the birth of Baker!
