As always, a quick hello to all of my Keep the Faith listeners, thanks for being a part of this extended community of contagious encouragement.
I am proud to be an educator and consultant for Beautycounter, a B-Corp company on a mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone. The lack of regulation in the personal care and cosmetic industry is astounding and it is harming our health in very serious ways. We need more voices to join up on our mission. If you want to put your passion to purpose while being generously compensated, then I would love to start a conversation with you about what it means to be involved in the #saferbeauty tribe that is Beautycounter. Join the movement of #betterbeauty and message me via email to make your voice really resonate for a cause. Shop for your own Beautycounter collection at www.beautycounter.com/trishblackwell
It’s Christmastime as I record and as I celebrate what I consider the greatest gift ever offered to humankind, Jesus Christ, and as we honor the remembrance of His birth through gifting others whom we love, gifts are on my mind.
1). Focus less on what you do and more on how your heart feels.
2). Learn something new every day
-Press on – don’t judge your life by feeling by learning
-Surround yourself with others who value learning
3). Ditch comparison for good
-No one has a path like you have, so stop cheapening your experience of life by constantly comparing where you are to that of where someone else is.
-Comparison is the thief of joy.
-Compare and get nowhere.
4). Decide to give back and make your life matter.
-Realize just how many people you can help (with your story, with your love, with your volunteering)
-Step out of the state of pity-party mode (yes, life is hard, but it is for everyone, and thinking about it being hard doesn’t make it easier – it just makes you more miserable)
-Who we are is God’s gift to us, what we do with
5). Set goals + deadlines
-Focus on the baby steps, but have a concrete goal
-Any goal matters more than not having a goal at all.
-Decide to become someone obsessed with taking action (you don’t have to have confidence about yourself or your capabilities when you believe this – you just need to trust that you are capable of taking action)
-Adds depth to your life
-Increases the impact of your life
-Removes scarcity from your life
-Opens the gateways of abundance
-Frees you from fear
Too often we are happy and thriving but don’t even know it or realize it because we haven’t taken the time to determine what it is that matters to us or what is important.
Determining what is important to you will help you make better decisions and will guide your happiness. The more you enjoy your life, the more you will thrive – the more you thrive, the more you will invest in those around you through your example … helping the world be a better place.

I realize it’s time that I finally say hello and express my gratitude to you. I also wanted to reach out and send this message to wish you an amazing birthday. By the way I love your fresh perspective aging. So many people (around me) make aging this big thing, this big deal, like getting older is so bad. But I love the idea that we should be embracing it. I want to defy and challenge the typical beliefs that people hold about getting older. Happy Birthday!
Anyways, I discovered your podcast, confidence on the go about a year ago and have been listening to it on and off ever since. However now it is my favourite podcast and I have been listening to it everyday on my way home from school on the bus. I am 16 years old and in grade 11 and am from St. Albert, Alberta (Canada). I have had some pretty low lows in my life, but now I am having some high highs and some of this credit goes to you, Trish. Thank you so much. Your podcast is empowering, encouraging, uplifting, liberating and I have learnt many tools by listening to it. Thanks again.
