Putting these tips for consistency into action can get you the results you’ve been looking for in whatever your goal might be. The difference between those who live in regret and those who live the lives of their dreams lies in consistent, daily actions. Today’s motivational Podcast Episode #24  from Confidence on the Go gives you five tips to take your commitment to consistency to the next level.

  • Without consistency, you will never achieve your goal.
  • Consistency is a choice, a practice.
  • The process matters as much as the result, be consistent in the process.

Episode #24 Notes:

KEYS TO CONSISTENCY

The Laws of Success:

(1). Ownership

(2). Effort

(3). Consistency

(4). Self-Efficacy

Most people who want a goal but don’t quite reach it struggle with a lack of consistency.  We get so close, but because of lack of consistency we end up self-sabotaging and regressing.

CONSISTENCY:

conformity in the application of something, typically that which is necessary for the sake of logic, accuracy, or fairness.

“In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently.”
― Anthony Robbins

I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life’s greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.

Our character is basically a composite of our habits. Because they are consistent, often unconscious patterns, they constantly, daily, express our character…” – Steven R. Covey’’

5 Tips For Consistency

  1. Create a Morning Routine

People who get things done first thing in the morning are more likely to stick with it.

Use the lift app, set your alarm earlier, get to bed earlier, stop the excuses.

  1. Do Things Even If You Don’t Feel Like It

Do one thing every day that you don’t want to do.

Putting something off only makes it become more of a monster.

  1. Take Responsibility for the Process and Stop Obsessing Over the Result

Take ownership and stop hoping for results to happen if you aren’t willing to put in the time

  1. Put Reminders in Your Environment

You hear me say it all the time: saturate your mind with truth.

Post-its, alarms on your phone, there are so many possibilities!

  1. Care about the Result

You have to care, and I don’t just mean care, I mean REALLY CARE.

You also have to believe enough that the care is made real.

I’ve got a GIVEAWAY for you!:

I am giving away one of my own running plan for anyone wanting to run a 5k, 10K, or marathon.  I even have another option for my non-runners out there: a WALKING half marathon plan.   Each plan typically sells for $50, so this is a steal of a deal! All you have to do is write a review in Amazon for one of my books or in iTunes for my show or app.

You can select one program per review that you write for the following options:

(1). Review The Skinny, Sexy Mind: The Ultimate French Secret oAmazon.com

(2). Review my ebook Building a Better Body Image: 50 Days to Loving Yourself from the Inside Out oAmazon.com

(3). Review my podcast show Confidence on the Go in iTunes under podcasts

(4). Review one of my iOS apps in iTunes

So, just write a review (and this is on the honor system) and then let me know which running training program you’d like in return.  If you’d like more than one program (which I recommend since they’re not always going to be free!), then simply pick another product to review!

Pretty simple! Now there’s no excuse not to have a consistent workout plan! Just do it.
