THINGS THAT DON’T WORK: 

  • Comparison
  • Numbing
  • Overthinking

WHAT IS YOUR TRIGGER?

We face a crossroad of decisions every day – to choose to keep doing what we have been doing or to choose to do differently. What is your trigger that tells you “there’s no point” to trying something new? Our triggers are often our internal dialogue, so what’s yours?

Examples of negative mental triggers:

  • What’s the point?
  • I don’t have the energy.
  • It’s too late.
  • I already did ____, so why try now?
  • I am always going to be this way.
  • Life is too hard and will always be.
  • I will always be exhausted.
  • Other people can change, but I’m not sure if I can.
  • I’ll always struggle with _________.
  • So-and-so is doing it still.
  • I’m doing okay, right? I’m getting by, isn’t that good enough?
  • I’ll start tomorrow.
  • Eh, it’s not that big of a deal.

YOU CAN NOT DESIGN YOUR LIFE IF YOU RESIGN IN LIFE.    

CREATE NEW PATTERNS: 

  1. Know that you were created for change – you are capable of it and not stuck in your habits.
  2. Remember that change is painful, but staying stuck is more painful.
  3. Imagine yourself living a life that is working.
  4. Study others who are living with more joy and freedom and believe it to be true for you.
  5. Face your issues rather than flee from them – refuse to be stuck in a pattern
  6. Embrace the idea of success – recognize that you might be scared of it
  7. Control what you can and let go of the rest
  8. If what you are doing isn’t working, you have nothing to lose to try something different
  9. Get a coach or accountability partner – get into The College of Confidence
  10. Being stuck in a loop doesn’t mean you are stuck for forever – you have a choice
  11. Get specific about what a “life that works” actually looks like for you – what is it that you want?!
  12. Define what happiness means to you.
  13. Success is one thing, but fulfillment is another and satisfaction of the soul

“ABUNDANCE” / the state or condition of having a copious quantity of something; plentifulness.

As I have been diving more into my personal development, I have really been focusing on abundance. Living an abundant life is SO important. These past few years I have been living in that scarcity mindset (tsk tsk). I never truly understood what “having abundance” truly meant, but after listening to @Trish_Blackwell podcast, “Abundance Mindset” it became so clear to me. It is definitely a daily practice, but I promise myself to strive towards abundance everyday. And you should too. Please, check out her podcasts, you will be extremely inspired and forever grateful!
